Nearly every product here casts a free kundli, but each is built around something different, and that decides what you get. Choose the kind first, then the product.
Kundli websites and horoscope apps in India, one by one
AstroSage
The widest toolbox here. Its website comes in English and thirteen Indian languages, and the free kundli offers six ayanamsa options, Lahiri, Raman and KP among them. The app lists all 16 divisional charts and Vimshottari dasha to five levels. It earns from per-minute consultations with human astrologers and AI personas, paid reports and advertising.
Drik Panchang
Calculation first, with the panchang at its heart. Its kundali page offers four ayanamsa options, mean or true Rahu and Ketu, four chart styles, Bhav Chalit and twenty divisional charts from D1 to D60. Ads support it, and a voluntary contribution removes them. It says only English and Hindi are fully supported.
Prokerala
Tidy free calculators on the web. The free kundli comes in five languages including Hindi, with the Navamsa and Vimshottari dasha but no ayanamsa choice. Matching scores out of 36 and adds Kerala and Tamil poruthams, useful to South Indian families. It sells PDF reports and runs a developer API.
ClickAstro
Built around long written reports. The free kundli is, in its words, a "summary and preview", and the In-Depth Horoscope, which its FAQ says runs past 300 pages, started at ₹1,200 on its website at the time of writing (October 2026). Consultations carry a fixed fee, not a per-minute rate, and its terms disclose that AI may help write parts of its reports.
AstroTalk
A marketplace for chat and calls with human astrologers, billed by the minute at rates that vary by astrologer. Its free kundli is a PDF of more than 50 pages with divisional charts and Vimshottari dasha. Its blog says "AI stays in the background, not in the consultations". Choose it for a human voice.
Astroyogi
A long-running name, since 2001 by its copyright line, and like AstroTalk a per-minute marketplace for chat and calls with astrologers. Its free kundli, in Hindi or English, shows the chart, planetary details and dasha, and its iOS app lists eight languages, Marathi among them.
Jagannatha Hora
Free Windows software by P.V.R. Narasimha Rao, and the deepest free tool on this list, with 23 divisional charts, seven ayanamsa options plus custom and dozens of dasha systems. The latest listed release is version 8.0 from January 2016, and on a Mac or Linux it needs a Windows simulator. It has no AI, and its features page lists no matching.
Graha Darpan
This site. Cast a kundli free, with no account, and get the chart, the Vimshottari dasha timeline, yogas and today's forecast, plus one full Kundli Milan. It uses the Swiss Ephemeris, Lahiri ayanamsa, whole-sign houses and mean nodes, shows every position to the minute of arc, and names the settings on the chart. The AI Jyotishi answers from your computed positions and never guesses, at 1 credit a question or 2 for a Kundli Milan question, shown before you spend. Packs start at ₹51 for 30 credits. No ads, no astrologer marketplace, no remedy shop.
Where others do better. Drik Panchang and AstroSage let you change settings, where ours are fixed. AstroSage offers fourteen languages to our three. We have no human astrologers, no panchang pages like Drik Panchang's, and nothing near Jagannatha Hora's depth.

The best free kundli app for Vimshottari dasha and detailed predictions
Detailed dasha means antardasha dates and finer levels. Every date rests on the Moon's exact degree at birth, so if two sites set to the same ayanamsa disagree, compare the Moon's degree first.
For free depth, the AstroSage app runs to five levels and adds Yogini dasha, Drik Panchang lets you set the ayanamsa and node first, and Jagannatha Hora goes deeper still. Graha Darpan's free timeline is computed from the Moon's exact degree at birth.
Predictions are a separate step, a reading of where each period's lord sits in your chart, from a report, an astrologer or an AI that can see the chart. Graha Darpan's Jyotishi reads it from your computed positions, one credit a question.
Kundli apps in India and their privacy policies, what to check
Birth details identify you, and chart questions often touch health, money and marriage. Check the privacy policy for these.
- Who processes your birth details and chats.
- How advertising works. Drik Panchang's policy says plainly that Google serves its ads with the DART cookie.
- Consent you can withdraw. The DPDP Act, 2023 says withdrawing should be as easy as giving it.
- A way to delete your account and charts, and how long data is kept.
- A grievance contact. Under the DPDP Rules of November 2025, phased in over 18 months, requests to access, correct or erase your data get an answer within 90 days.

Calculation accuracy comes from the ephemeris, the settings and your birth details, not the price, so a free chart from a serious calculator should match a paid one when those agree. What you pay for is interpretation.
