AI astrologer apps that read your kundli, and how to test one
You can now ask an app about your own chart and get an answer in seconds. Graha Darpan publishes this page and builds one of these apps, so read it as a maker's account, and put us through the same three tests as everyone else.
The short answer
Yes. Several AI astrologer apps in India let you ask questions about your kundli, including AstroSage's AI astrologers, Om.AI, ChatKarmic, Kundali AI and Graha Darpan, which publishes this page. The ones worth trusting compute your chart with an ephemeris first and answer only from those positions. To test one, ask for your lagna degree and current dasha dates, check both on a free calculator, then ask why and see whether it names facts from your chart.
How an AI kundli chatbot app reads your chart
An AI astrologer does two jobs, and only the second is language. The first is arithmetic. Where were the Moon, the planets and the rising degree at the minute and place of your birth? An ephemeris answers that from the equations of planetary motion. Graha Darpan uses the Swiss Ephemeris, a standard library for the work.
A language model on its own does not do that arithmetic. It predicts likely words, so it can write a fluent kundli that puts your Moon in the wrong nakshatra. A real AI kundli chatbot computes first and lets the model read only what was computed.
What separates a real AI astrologer app
- The chart is computed, not composed. Positions come from an ephemeris, and the settings behind them, the ayanamsa, house system and nodes, are named where you can see them.
- Answers are grounded in those positions. A question about work should be read from your tenth house, its lord and your running dasha, not from a column written for your whole sign.
- It remembers the conversation. A follow-up builds on what you said a minute ago, so you can ask "and next year?" without starting over.
- The price of a question is clear before you ask. A per-minute meter suits a human astrologer's time. With software, a price per question is easier to predict.
- No fear and no remedy shop. A dosha described without its classical cancellations, or a reading that ends at a gemstone counter, is a sales pitch.
- Privacy you can act on. Your birth date, time and place identify you. Look for plain consent, a privacy policy you can read and a way to delete your account and charts.
Three questions that test any AI astrologer
You need ten minutes and a free calculator as referee. Drik Panchang serves well, because its kundali page lets you choose the ayanamsa, Lahiri among them, and shows the Vimshottari dasha. Match the ayanamsa the app says it uses.
- "What is my lagna, in sign, degree and minute?" Cast the same birth details on the referee. The two should agree closely. The lagna moves about one degree every four minutes of clock time, so a gap of a degree or more points to a different birth time, time zone or ayanamsa. If those match and the gap remains, the app may not have calculated anything.
- "Which mahadasha and antardasha am I running, and when does each begin and end?" Dasha dates follow from the Moon's exact degree at birth, so a computed answer gives exact dates. Small differences can come from the year length a calculator uses. A difference of years means different settings, or guesswork.
- "Why?" Ask it after any prediction. A grounded answer names chart facts, a house, a sign, a lord, a dasha, and each one is on your chart. A guessing answer drifts into generalities, or names placements your chart does not have.
AI Vedic astrology apps for kundli chat in India
Here is the field as each company describes itself, read on 10 October 2026, with offers as shown at the time of writing. We cannot inspect anyone's internals but our own, which is why the tests above matter more than any description.
- AstroSage. The most choice in this list. Its home page shows about 30 named AI astrologer personas, priced per minute like its human astrologers, and one of its AI pages offers your first question free. It says its AI "uses your exact birth details to create a fully customized response". Its strength is range, with human astrologers on the same site when you want a person.
- Om.AI. An AI-only app on Android, iOS and the web, describing itself as "A chatbot that reads your chart first, then answers." Its kundli covers the lagna, navamsa and Vimshottari dasha. The first question is free, a Premium plan is priced in the app, and it offers a "24-hour money-back guarantee on Android and iOS, no questions asked". Its home page also discloses its analytics and advertising tools, as every app should.
- ChatKarmic. A web app built in India, live since March 2026. Its method page names the Swiss Ephemeris, sidereal Lahiri and whole-sign houses, and says the model "does not derive positions, and it is not permitted to recompute or override them". That is the standard to ask of every app. Its five personas are labelled plainly as AI, one is free to start, and it works in English, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada.
- Kundali AI. A web app at kundaliai.com, and similar names exist, so check the address. It says its AI "first computes your birth chart... then reasons over the real placements". Your first five questions are free without login and a free account adds ten more, a generous start, and it answers in Hindi, Marathi or English.
- AstroTalk. If you were hoping for an AstroTalk AI, its own blog says AI helps match you with an astrologer and generate your kundli, but "AI stays in the background, not in the consultations". If you want a person rather than software, that clarity counts in its favour.
Where Graha Darpan fits, and what it does not do
Graha Darpan casts your kundli free with no account, showing the chart, the Vimshottari dasha timeline, yogas and today's forecast. It uses the Swiss Ephemeris with the Lahiri (Chitrapaksha) ayanamsa, whole-sign houses and mean nodes, and shows every position to the minute of arc with those settings named. Our AI Jyotishi fetches the computed positions before it answers and never guesses them, under the rules on our method page.
A question about your chart costs 1 credit and one about a Kundli Milan match costs 2. Greetings and thank-yous are free, and the cost is shown before you spend. New accounts get 6 free credits, doubled to 12 if you sign up within 30 minutes of casting your first chart, plus 1 free credit a day up to 10. Packs start at ₹51 for 30 credits. There are no advertisements and no remedy shop, consent is asked on the first cast, and you can delete your account and charts at any time.
What we do not do matters as much. There are no human astrologers here. AstroSage and AstroTalk offer them, and our comparison of AI and human astrologers explains when you want one. We work in English, Hindi and Marathi only, so a Telugu or Kannada speaker may be better served by ChatKarmic. And Graha Darpan is a web app, so if you want an app from an app store, Om.AI has Android and iOS versions.
Common questions
Is there an AI astrologer app that can read my kundli?
Yes. Om.AI, ChatKarmic, Kundali AI and Graha Darpan each say their AI reads a chart computed from your birth details, and AstroSage says its AI astrologers use your exact birth details. Before you trust any of them, ask for your lagna degree and current dasha dates and check both on a free calculator.
Is an AI kundli chatbot accurate?
The calculation can be exact when the app computes positions with an ephemeris, and you can check it against any good calculator. A language model alone does not calculate positions. The reading is interpretation within a tradition, so judge it by whether it names the chart facts it rests on.
Which AI astrology apps answer in Hindi or Marathi?
Graha Darpan answers in English, Hindi and Marathi, and Kundali AI says it answers in Hindi, Marathi or English. ChatKarmic works in English, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada. Om.AI's interface is in English and Hindi, and it replies in the language you write in.
How much does an AI astrologer app cost?
The pricing shapes differ. At the time of writing (October 2026), AstroSage prices its AI astrologers per minute, Om.AI sells a Premium plan, ChatKarmic keeps four of its five personas on a paid plan, and Graha Darpan sells prepaid credits, one per question about your chart. Each lets you start free, and you should see the price before you ask.
