Graha Darpan is operated by ARTranslation Technologies (OPC) Private Limited, the data fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

This policy explains what personal data Graha Darpan collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. We ask for only what a reading needs.

Data we collect

• Account details: your name and email address, used to create and secure your account.
• Phone number: collected when you sign up with email, in international format (Google sign-in does not ask for one). Used for account service and to route you to the correct payment provider. Never sold or shared for marketing.
• Birth details: your birth date, birth time, and birth place. These are required to compute your kundli and are the core of every reading. When you request a Kundli Milan, you also provide a partner's birth details, which you confirm you are entitled to share.
• Chat content: the questions you ask and the readings we return, so your conversations persist across visits.
• WhatsApp, if you link it: the WhatsApp number you link to your account, and the messages, voice notes, photos and documents you send Pandit-ji there. A voice note is turned into text and the recording is not kept; a photo or a document is used to answer you and is not stored.
• A kundli you share: when you fill your birth details from a kundli PDF or a photo of it, on the website or on WhatsApp, we read the birth details from it to fill them in. The file itself is not kept, and nothing is added to your account until you confirm the details.
• Payment references: the order and transaction identifiers from your payment provider. We never see or store your card numbers, UPI credentials, or bank details.

Why we use it

• To compute your birth chart and generate the readings you ask for.
• To keep a record of your charts and chats so you can return to them.
• To manage your reading credits, purchases, and refunds.
• If you turn on key-date reminders for a chart, to email you a few days before each of its turning points. Reminders stay off until you turn them on. Every reminder carries a one-click link to stop them, and you can switch them off on the chart at any time. They can also come on WhatsApp once you link a WhatsApp number.
• If you link a WhatsApp number, to answer your questions there with the credits of your account, as on the website, and to send the reminders you ask for. A number is linked only after it is proved yours with a one-time code, sent to that WhatsApp or sent to us from it. On WhatsApp, replying STOP stops the reminders, and replying UNLINK there, or unlinking it on the website, deletes the number.
• To secure the account and prevent abuse.

How long we keep it

We keep your account, charts, and chats until you delete them or ask us to. Deleting your account removes your account record, charts, chats, uploads, and reminder settings, including any linked WhatsApp number; deleting a chart removes its reminder settings and its WhatsApp conversation too. A WhatsApp conversation is kept with the chart it is about, like your web chats. Billing records tied to a purchase are retained separately for the period required by financial and tax law, even after account deletion.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share the minimum necessary with service providers who process it only on our instructions. You can ask us for the names of the providers your data was shared with.

• An AI model provider processes chart and chat text, and any photo or document you send, to generate the AI-assisted readings and to read the birth details on a kundli you share.
• Zoho delivers the emails we send you: sign-in codes and, if you turn them on, key-date reminders.
• Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform) carries our WhatsApp messages, the conversation with Pandit-ji, link codes and key-date reminders, only if you link a number.
• A speech-to-text service turns the voice notes you send on WhatsApp into text; the recording is not kept.
• A document-reading service reads the pages of a scanned PDF you share when they carry no text of their own; the file is not kept.
• Razorpay (payments in rupees) and PayPal (payments in other currencies) process payments. Which one you are offered follows your phone number and your approximate country, which we read from your connection for that purpose and do not store. Card, UPI, and bank details go directly to the payment provider, not to us.
• Google Analytics measures how the site is used — pages viewed and coarse product events such as "a chart was cast", "an account was created", or "credits were purchased". These events carry no birth details, no chart data, and no conversation content. Analytics data is retained for 14 months. You can block it with any standard content blocker or Google's opt-out add-on, and the site works identically without it.

Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct data that is inaccurate.
• Withdraw the consent you gave for using your birth details at any time. Withdrawing consent stops future processing; it does not affect readings already generated.
• Delete your account and associated sessions from within the app, or by contacting us.

Grievances

For any privacy question, consent withdrawal, or complaint, contact our Grievance Officer through the details on our Contact page. We acknowledge grievances within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within 30 days.
